How it skyrocketed my article’s reach
Remember when four written words made your day? They were known as curation or distribution and went like this.
Chosen for further distribution.
You would see it under the title of your articles, on the stats page, and it meant some sweet recognition. But, although it felt good, it often didn’t mean much in terms of views. And you felt bad when a story you were proud of didn’t get the four words.
Boost, ready for takeoff.
As Medium CEO Tony Subblebine made the point, every article gets some form of distribution, so it was redundant. So, yes, we missed them, but the four words needed to be serving us or serving their original intent. But the reinvention of curation is the boost, and the boost is big-time. So here is what it looks like.
